Educational training

Medical training began at one of Turkey's most rigorous medical faculties, followed by full plastic, reconstructive, and aesthetic surgery residency at university-level training programs. Subspecialty focus on rhinoplasty — both primary and revision — developed through fellowship-style clinical work, international observerships, and high-volume practice over the past 15 years.

Since 2018, academic affiliation as Associate Professor (Doçent), with ongoing teaching responsibilities, peer-reviewed research output, and conference presentations both nationally and internationally.

Board certifications

FACS — American College of Surgeons

Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Election to fellowship requires demonstrated surgical training, ethical practice, and ongoing professional development. International FACS members are vetted to the same standards as US-domestic fellows.

FEBOPRAS — European Board of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery

Fellow of the European Board. Issued only after written and oral examinations covering the full scope of plastic surgery. Mutually recognized across European Union member states.

Turkish Specialty Board

National plastic surgery specialty board certification. Required for any Turkish surgeon practicing plastic surgery as a specialty.

Associate Professor (Doçent) Title

National academic credential awarded after demonstrating sustained research output, peer-reviewed publication record, and academic teaching contributions. Issued by the Turkish Higher Education Council (YÖK).

Professional memberships

Publications and research

Peer-reviewed publication record across plastic surgery, rhinoplasty technique, complication management, and clinical outcomes research. Topics covered include cartilage graft harvest, revision techniques for specific deformities, septal perforation repair, and patient outcome studies. Active reviewer for plastic surgery journals.

Conference presentations include national congresses (Turkish Plastic Surgery Congress) and international meetings (ISAPS World Congress, IFATS, ICOPLAST). Visiting observer at multiple international rhinoplasty centers.

Practice focus

Current practice focus: revision rhinoplasty (primary clinical focus), closed-approach primary rhinoplasty, septal perforation repair, post-traumatic nasal reconstruction. Approximately 100+ revision rhinoplasty cases annually plus primary rhinoplasty practice.

Hospital affiliations

Operating privileges at JCI-accredited hospitals in Istanbul. JCI (Joint Commission International) is the same accreditation standard used by leading hospitals worldwide, including major US and European facilities.

Health-tourism license

Turkish Ministry of Health Health-Tourism License (USHAŞ) — issued only to providers meeting national standards for international patient care. This license is the formal regulatory framework under which we serve international patients.
